In Massachusetts, social media influencer “Clavicular,” who acquired popularity by advocating the online “looksmaxxing” fad, is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl who told police she got very drunk after he gave her drinks at his family’s Cape Cod house.
According to court documents, Braden Peters, 20, is accused of rape, providing a drug for sexual activity, and obtaining alcohol for an individual under the age of 21 in the alleged assault in Chatham on May 23, 2025. On September 4, a clerk-magistrate determined that the charges had probable cause, and on September 8, a criminal complaint was filed.
An email requesting response from Peters’ publicist and the teen’s lawyers was not immediately answered on Tuesday. The arraignment of Peters, who is not in custody, is set for October 14 in Orleans District Court.
The complainant told Chatham police that after they started communicating on Instagram, Peters paid her to appear in “looksmaxxing” films that he posted online. According to a police investigation, she claimed that although Peters knew she was 17, he instructed her to tell his audience that she was 18 and that the vodka he gave her was actually water.
The girl said that on May 23, 2025, she rideshared from her grandparents’ house to Peters’ family’s residence on Morris Island, a gated community of multimillion-dollar residences with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Before being led by Peters to his room, where he was livestreaming on Twitch, she informed police that she was welcomed by Peters’ mother and grandmother.
She said to the police that she drank what she thought was two or three shots of vodka and grew more and more drunk. One of the videos from Peters’ livestream, according to an officer who watched them, showed the girl telling Peters, “Wait, I’m so drunk though.” According to the police report, Peters said, “It’s OK,” and the two kissed.
She claimed that once the livestream concluded, they returned to his bedroom, where she later fell asleep and awoke the next morning to find Peters raping her.
The alleged assault was earlier described in a lawsuit filed against Peters in Florida in last April. The lawsuit also accused Peters of later injecting the girl with a fat-dissolving substance during a livestream without her consent which Peters has denied.
Peters, the face of the “looksmaxxing” trend, is a well-known social media and internet personality whose pursuit of achieving traditional attractiveness by any means necessary became the subject of intense interest and discourse early this year.
